Emile Braunplein 11, Ghent 9000, Belgium
Saint Nicholas will never look so good as it does, except when sitting with a cup of coffee in your hand and a delicious offering from Caffe Rosario. Caffe Rosario just feels good on you. It's vibrant, youthful and exuberant from patrons to the waitstaff. Everyone here seems happy and it shows in the food they prepare. It's great for breakfast, lunch or early dinner as they close at 6pm, but everything they make feels inspired. Freshly made, quickly served and damn good. Try one of their many coffee or hot chocolate choices, all good and there is bound to be one that feels and tastes good in your mouth. Savor it, hold on to the moment, love is served here.

YES, THERE IS A BEER HEAVEN AND IT RESIDES UNDERGROUND
On a recent European trip we ventured to Brugge, Belgium and the one place we would not leave the country without visiting was Le Trappiste. Being a Belgian Style beer drinker, this would be my pilgrimage, the embryonic fluid for my liver. From our Airbnb stay in the city's historic center, we ventured through the Makt Square and made our way over to Le Trappiste. To get to heaven, you must venture down in to the earth or just perhaps below street level, as that is where Le Trappiste resides. You feel like you've ventured into a low ceiling Abbey, as the roof line is composed of gothically arched ceilings. You might mistakenly believe that a penance should be offered to some distant deity, but allay your fears, the only true penance required is choosing from the ample beer selection at Le Trappiste. Whether the beer "genie" is in the bottle or flowing freely from the taps, release it and indulge in the greatest creation of the monks. Is there Belgian beer here? Yes, in spades. There are also other varietal offerings to quench your thirst for great craft brew. To put bluntly, there is glorious beer at Le Trappiste and yes, you should drink it and be possessed by the spirit of the hoppy, malty kind. Amen.
